Maintenance knowledge
- Before the engine lubricating oil pressure is established, the engine must be kept at idle speed to ensure that the supercharger is fully lubricated.
- Pre-lubricate the turbocharger. Pre-lubricate after servicing.
- Before stopping the engine, gradually reduce its temperature and speed from the maximum value to prevent carbon deposits from forming on the supercharger bearings or the intermediate housing.
- Avoid prolonged idling which may reduce compressor efficiency.
